Koi Herpes Virus PCR
Suitable testing methods

Samples should be tested for the presence of Koi Herpes Virus using your routine PCR method. 

Reporting format

Interpretation of test results should be recorded, that is, whether the sample i.e. Positive, Negative or Inconclusive for Koi Herpes Virus.
 
The report form allows for the submission of results from two PCR methods when required.

The final report will be issued electronically. These will show the intended results, as well as the results from all other participants.

Sample Type:

0.25mL lyophilised dilution of carp tissue homogenate (gill, kidney and/or spleen) containing inactivated Koi Herpes Virus. Negative samples may be included in the panel.

Packaging and transport details:
Exempt Animal Specimen. Courier delivery will incur additional charges. Please contact the QA unit for further details

Subcontracting:
Various aspects of the Proficiency Testing Schemes may at times be subcontracted. When this occurs it is placed with a competent subcontractor and the Quality Assurance Unit is responsible to the scheme participants for the subcontractors work.
